Dance Depot 5 offers adult scholarships to dancers who are interested in studying dance at our school. We offer a variety of Salsa, Ballroom (foxtrot, waltz, swing, tango, etc), Fusion Fitness classes, hip hop, Jazz, Ballet, Belly, Salsa, Breakin, & More!
The scholarships function as a work/study exchange. Scholarship students perform responsible, ongoing jobs in the operation of Dance Depot 5 in exchange for unlimited free classes. These jobs include administrative assistants, substitute teaching of classes, show assistants, marketing assistants, booking assistants, etc. Depending on the position and its specific requirements, Work/Study students work an average of 12 hours per month and varies among a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly commitment.
Requirements
· 3-month commitment
· Availability of time to focus on program
· Interest in classes: At least 3 hours of classes/ week.
· Volunteer at Dance Depot 5 shows, recitals, outreach programs, and events

Get hands-on experience with the staff and faculty at Dance Depot 5. Dance Depot 5 is a young, energetic studio offering the highest quality of dance education for ages 3 – adults! This is a great opportunity to work in a performing arts school.
Internship Goals:
· To learn how a Studio functions in all the areas (marketing, customer service, instruction, etc.)
· To broaden the scope of career opportunities in dance.
· To further the dance skills of aspiring professional dancers.
· The above goals are achieved through three aspects of the internship: administrative and facility
work, participation in professional dance classes, and staff mentorship.
Administrative and Facility Work: Interns work administratively 15 hours per week as the Dance Depot 5 receptionist, and administrative assistant to staff members. Responsibilities include interacting with the public, customer/student relations, manage client accounts, collecting tuition, ticket sales & processing, registration of students for classes, merchandising and inventory, responding to requests for information and general support to the Public Relations, Membership, Box Office, Production and Fundraising departments. Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility is expected. Interns play a prominent role in the ongoing business of the organization, receiving a bird's eye view of the totality of Dance Depot 5 as a, school and community resource.
Classes: Interns can participate in adult professional dance classes offered on a daily basis at Dance Depot 5 including Salsa, Ballroom (foxtrot, waltz, swing, tango, etc), Fusion Fitness classes, hip hop, Jazz, Ballet, Belly, Salsa, Breakin, & More! Interns occasionally participate in assistant teaching of children's classes if they hold that interest.
Eligibility: Adults (age 17 and older) who are pursuing careers in dance in college, post college or are hoping to make a career transition to the field of dance or business or marketing administration. Must have good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet; experience in customer relations is advantageous. Be ready to work hard, have an open mind, and be flexible within a constantly changing environment.

Must be willing to volunteer at Dance Depot’s recitals, outreach programs, and events. Be present to all mandatory events. Instructors play a prominent role in the ongoing business of the organization. Having a bird’s eye view of the studio in its totality is key in recognizing Dance Depot 5 as a school and community resource.
